What do penguins, espresso, virtual contrast supervision, and the United Center have in common? This year, they were all part of Tether’s week at RSNA 2025. With thousands of clinicians and innovators coming to Chicago, we wanted to create spaces where people could step away from the conference rush and have real conversations about imaging, technology, and the direction of our field. Thanks to our partners at Tennr and Mecha Health, that vision turned into three unforgettable gatherings.

The week began with dinner at Azure at the Shedd Aquarium, set against the backdrop of the underwater viewing gallery. Guests had the rare experience of sipping cocktails beside the aquarium’s marine life, complete with a surprise penguin encounter that quickly became the most-photographed moment of the evening. The relaxed setting gave radiologists, technologists, and imaging center leaders room to talk about the work that brings us together and the challenges we are all trying to solve.

We continued the conversation with a packed happy hour at The Tap Room, where groups who had never met before were soon comparing workflows, sharing stories from their practices, and finding common ground across very different environments. These kinds of exchanges are hard to have on a crowded exhibition floor, and many guests told us it was their favorite part of the week.

The final event brought everyone to the United Center for the Bulls vs Nets game. It was a high-energy night with partners, customers, and new connections cheering from the suite and continuing the discussions that had started earlier in the week. It was the perfect way to close out RSNA, with a mix of excitement, collaboration, and a shared sense of where imaging is heading.

Across all three events, one theme kept coming up. The future of imaging is arriving quickly. Automated patient referrals, dependable on-site and virtual contrast supervision, and the rise of radiology foundation models are no longer abstract ideas. They are becoming real capabilities that will reshape how imaging centers operate and how clinicians support one another. The conversations we heard throughout the week reflected a field that is ready to evolve and ready for solutions that improve workflow reliability, clinical safety, and patient experience.

We are grateful to all of the clients, future partners, and friends who joined us throughout the week and to the Tennr and Mecha Health teams for helping make each gathering memorable. If we did not get a chance to meet in Chicago, we would still love to connect. Reach out to the Tether Supervision team any time.
