The Role:

The Role:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to help build the core platform that powers Tether Supervision’s national network of imaging centers, radiologists, and technologists. This is a foundational role: you will design and implement the real-time clinical supervision infrastructure used across 85+ centers today — and more than 125 centers in the coming months.

If you enjoy building interface-rich applications, solving complex real-time video and workflow problems, and operating in a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts patient safety, this role is for you.

You will work directly with the CEO and our technical team to strengthen our supervision interface, scheduling tools, two-way video workflows, technologist communication systems, and incident/QA infrastructure as we scale nationally.

What we are looking for:

  • 3–6+ years of professional experience building production web applications.

  • Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and modern frontend development practices.

  • Experience working with real-time systems, such as WebRTC, WebSockets, or video SDKs (Zoom, Daily, Agora, etc.).

  • A deep understanding of state management, component architecture, performance tuning, and designing resilient interfaces.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Clinical, and Sales teams to translate real-world workflows into product features.

  • Comfortable working independently, prioritizing quickly, and delivering high-quality code with minimal oversight.

  • Strong communication skills; able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with privacy/security-conscious environments or willingness to learn (HIPAA, PHI boundaries, least-privilege design).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL, RLS/permissions, or real-time database tooling.

  • Experience with Zoom Video SDK, Daily.co, or other telehealth-grade video integrations.

  • Experience building clinical or operational platforms, especially in radiology or healthcare.

  • Experience with Tailwind, design systems, or building polished UI/UX for high-stakes workflows.

  • Prior work in fast-paced early-stage environments.

  • Timezone: US Pacific preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and build new platform features, including scheduling, session management, credentialing tools, and QA/incident reporting.

  • Own complex real-time workflows such as two-way A/V supervision, session state syncing, multi-center routing, and fallback logic.

  • Collaborate closely with Operations to translate day-to-day supervision needs into well-designed product improvements.

  • Contribute to platform performance, reliability, and scalability as we transition from service-enabled tech to hybrid SaaS.

  • Maintain high-quality code through thoughtful architecture, testing, and documentation.

  • Help build internal tooling to support onboarding, compliance, analytics, and radiologist workflows.

  • Participate in roadmap planning, platform design, and technical decision-making.

Your benefits with Tether:

  • Be part of a mission-driven team: The software you build protects patient safety and supports clinical operations nationwide.

  • Make an impact: Your work becomes the backbone of virtual supervision for 100+ imaging centers and thousands of patients.

  • Transparency: Clear expectations, open communication, and full visibility into technical priorities.

  • Growth and autonomy: Significant ownership over architecture, UI/UX direction, and long-term platform evolution.

  • Ownership: Drive critical engineering decisions and help shape the national standard for virtual contrast supervision.
